Amendment sheets to the Assessment Method ‘Environmental performance of Construction works’ version 1.1

The Environmental Performance Assessment Method for Construction works is regularly updated to remain current and in line with new regulations, technological innovations and practical experience.
These changes can be divided into three categories:

• changes based on standardisation
• policy-based changes
• changes based on feedback from practice

Each amendment sheet, once adopted by the BMNL, goes through three key stages (see also the image at the top of the page).
First, a six-week consultation period during which stakeholder feedback is collected. Once the feedback has been collected and processed, the amendment sheet is published on this website. Six months after publication follows the final effective date, when the new rules will come into effect. This is to give all stakeholders time to respond to the changes.

Upcoming versions Assessment Method

Amendment sheets 1 and 2 will be processed into version 1.2 before the end of this year. This version 1.2 of the Assessment Method will be in effect from 1 January 2025.

After the publication of Amendment Sheet 3, it will also be processed and version 2.0 of the Assessment Method will be published. This will be in effect from 1 July 2025.
