Dutch Environmental Database Foundation processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are under 16 years of age. Unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's online activities to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent. Automated decision-making

Stichting Nationale Environmental Database does not make decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals on the basis of automated processing. These are decisions that are made by computer programmes or systems, without a person (e.g. an employee of Stichting Nationale Environmental Database ) being involved.

How long we keep personal data

We do not retain personal data longer than permitted by law and delete personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes described above.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Stichting Dutch Environmental Database shares your personal data with several third parties if this is necessary to execute the agreement and to comply with any legal obligation. We conclude a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. The Dutch Environmental Database Foundation remains responsible for this processing.

View, modify or delete data


You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your possible consent to data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by the Dutch Environmental Database Foundation, and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold on you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you. You can send a request to inspect, correct, delete, transfer your personal data or request the revocation of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@milieudatabase.nl. To ensure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks. Stichting Dutch Environmental Database would also like to inform you that you have the possibility to submit a complaint to the national supervisory authority, the Authority for Personal Data.

How we secure personal data

Dutch Environmental Database Foundation takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact our customer service or via our question form.

Stichting Dutch Environmental Database uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies.
