New filters in the NMD Viewer and more insight into declarations
Stichting NMD has expanded the NMD Viewer and the NMD Platform on a number of points. These changes are relevant for users of environmental data, LCA consultants and data owners, and make it easier to search, compare and assess environmental declarations for data quality.
Two new filters in the NMD Viewer
The NMD Viewer now includes two new filter options:
- Filter by A1/A2 data: users can now filter specifically for the presence of A1/A2 data within an environmental declaration
- Filter by data owner: declarations can now be filtered directly by data owner
Both filters were developed in response to user feedback and make searching within the NMD Viewer more targeted.
Impact per basic process now also visible in the NMD Viewer
The 'Impact basic processes' table was previously only available in the NMD Platform. This table shows the contribution of each basic process to the total ECI score of the product. For category 3 declarations, this information is now also available directly in the NMD Viewer, without requiring access to the NMD Platform.
Historical versions of a declaration visible in the NMD Platform
The NMD Platform now allows users to view all previously published versions of an environmental declaration. This gives LCA consultants and data owners more insight into how a declaration has developed over time.
What does this mean for users?
These changes contribute to transparency about the composition and origin of environmental data in the NMD. Users have more options for searching declarations and assessing the underlying basis of an ECI score, both in the NMD Viewer and the NMD Platform.
