NVTB publishes animation on the environmental performance of construction works

The Dutch Association of Building Material Suppliers (NVTB) has published the animation ‘Daadwerkelijk duurzame keuzes’ (Truly sustainable choices). In an accessible way, the animation shows how the environmental performance of construction works is assessed. It also makes clear why this assessment covers the entire life cycle and all relevant environmental impacts.

What does the animation show?

The animation follows a construction work from production and construction through use, demolition and reuse. It shows that environmental performance consists of multiple environmental impacts and how these are interconnected. A gain on one environmental impact can therefore lead to a loss on another.
