Stichting NMD invites professionals to respond to the draft version of the WLC-GWP Assessment Method, version 0.95. Your input helps us improve the method. Responses can be submitted until Friday 6 November.
What is under consultation?
The draft version 0.95 of the WLC-GWP Assessment Method. This version is still subject to the decision-making process of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK). This means:
- The content of section 1.3 (explanation of WLC-GWP results) and section 3.1 (demarcation rules) may still change as a result of that decision.
- Sections 5.4.5 (Determining the total WLC-GWP) and 5.4.6 (Determining the total WLC-GWP with time-based weighting) have deliberately been left blank. They will be completed once the decision has been made.
- The decision-making process may also affect the text in Section 1.2 on the application of environmental declarations drawn up on the basis of a harmonised assessment method (hEN).
What happens after the consultation?
After the consultation closes, we will process the responses and draw up version 1.0, based on the policy decisions made by BZK and the comments received in this consultation. Version 1.0 will be the final version.

Background
In October 2025, Stichting NMD published version 0.9 of the WLC-GWP Assessment Method. That version was not yet final, but was published to make the method accessible to parties involved in the WLC-GWP Roadmap process.

For anyone who deals with the WLC-GWP in their work, such as (EP) advisors, LCA practitioners, tool providers, clients and policy makers.
