How can we live more sustainably and reduce our environmental impact? That is a question that has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. To make the right decisions, we need reliable information, because the answers are rarely straightforward and are often complex and nuanced. That is why a scientific, data-driven approach is essential. I enjoy working with tools and assessment methods that make environmental impact measurable and support better decision-making. Over the years, I have built extensive experience in this field, particularly with Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), ecolabels, standards and assessment methodologies.
Whereas I previously focused on non-food consumer products and services, I now work as an LCA Consultant at the Dutch Environmental Database (NMD), specialising in construction products and the built environment. It is a fascinating and dynamic field, where policy ambitions—driven by national and European sustainability goals—intersect with commercial interests.
Outside work, you will often find me on the basketball court. I also enjoy cooking for friends and family, and as a passionate music enthusiast, I love attending concerts and discovering new artists. I also play the guitar myself.
