All data included in the NMD after 1 January 2020, must be assessed based on the current NMD Review Protocol.
NMD Verification Protocol
All data registered in the Dutch Environmental Database (NMD) after 1 January 2020 must be reviewed in accordance with the current NMD Verification Protocol. Whenever the Assessment Method is updated, the NMD Verification Protocol is adjusted accordingly.
The most recent version of the NMD Verification Protocol can be downloaded on this page – Version 2.0 (June 2025). As of 1 July 2025, data verified under previous versions of the protocol can unfortunately no longer be included.
