Register as a recognised LCA expert

A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) expert who believes he or she is sufficiently qualified to be recognised to assess LCAs for the NMD can apply to Stichting NMD to be designated as an independent, qualified third party to assess LCAs (carried out by third parties).

Register of recognised LCA experts

An LCA expert can be eligible for recognition as independent, qualified third party for verifying LCAs if he or she meets the conditions for recognition. The candidate can apply to Stichting NMD by completing an application form and submitting the necessary supporting documents, in accordance with the recognition conditions. Annual charges are associated with recognition as LCA expert. These can be found on the ‘Rates 2022’ page.

By submitting the requested documents, the undersigned declares to have taken note of the document "Terms and conditions for the accreditation of LCA experts for the testing of category 1 and 2 data for inclusion in the National Environmental Database - January 2021" and to agree to the terms and conditions therein.

The undersigned also declares, in his or her opinion, to meet the requirements set out in the above document, to perform the assessment according to the most recent rules and regulations (assessment protocol) of the Determination Method and to agree to arbitration procedures of the NMD Foundation.

The undersigned shall provide three LCA reports that have been prepared according to the NMD Review Protocol and/or the MRPI Review Protocol and have been reviewed with a positive result, whose authorship can be proven and which were completed no more than 5 years ago. These reports are submitted for review to (some members of) the Technical Content Committee (TIC) of National Environmental Database Foundation.
