Jan-Willem Groot speaks at VKBN webinar on BENG and MPG
On the first of April, our Managing Director Jan-Willem Groot was one of the speakers at the VKBN webinar on BENG and MPG.
VKBN consistently emphasises the importance of a well-functioning system of quality assurance. Significant attention is given to safeguarding both technical and project-specific aspects, ensuring that a construction works demonstrably complies with the requirements of the Bbl upon completion. This includes, among others, the requirements for Nearly Energy Neutral Buildings (BENG) and the Environmental Performance of Buildings (MPG). The growing focus on sustainability is making these increasingly important topics.
VKBN supports its members in operating effectively within the WKB system, including through knowledge sharing. The topic of this session was BENG and MPG.
During a well-attended webinar with more than 50 participants, Jan-Willem Groot spoke about, among other things, the system, the environmental performance calculation (MPG), the role of wlc-gwp and the importance of quality assurance.
Other topics were addressed by Maurits Lavèn (Building Label) and Raymond von den Benken (ROWIQ Advies):
- legislation and regulations for BENG and MPG, explained in a practical and clear manner
- implementation of BENG by certificate holders under BRL 9500
During the webinar, many questions were raised and answered on the spot. A number of questions will be addressed by VKBN at a later stage.
