Continuous efforts to keep the database up to date with cat.3 data

As part of our ongoing efforts to keep the NMD current, a number of cat 3 environmental declarations were recently removed and/or replaced.

The main modifications

• The implementation of the current version of Ecoinvent, with updated background data. The versions of Ecoinvent used are 3.6 for the impact categories from set A1 and 3.9.1 for those from set A2
• Tightened calculation rules implemented in the most recent version of the Determination Methodology
• Corrections in the composition of products, bringing the data closer to the actual environmental impact, and background reports

What this means for you

These changes may affect the EQI of various environmental declarations. With this, the environmental performance calculations at the project level may also shift We recommend checking your calculations in the preparatory phase of projects. Also be aware of this when choosing a suitable reference date for your project.
