Consultation on the c-PCR for artificial grass

The Branch Association for Sports and Cultural Engineering (BSNC) has launched a consultation on the complementary Product Category Rules (c-PCR) for artificial grass. Stakeholders are invited to submit their comments on the draft document.

Wednesday 17 December 2025

Background

Product Category Rules describe how the environmental performance of products within a specific product group is determined and reported. Complementary PCRs supplement existing European or international rules and provide further specification for the Dutch context.

The c-PCR for artificial grass has been developed to achieve a more uniform and transparent determination of the environmental performance of artificial grass systems. This supports consistent application within LCAs and in the preparation of environmental declarations.

Consultation

With this consultation, BSNC offers market parties, experts and other stakeholders the opportunity to provide substantive feedback on the draft complementary Product Category Rules for artificial grass. The responses received may be taken into account in the further development and finalisation of the document.

The consultation runs from 12 December 2025 to 23 January 2026.

The draft documents and information on how to submit a response are available via the BSNC website.
