Recognised LCA experts

Before a category 1 or 2 environmental declaration is added to the NMD, the data is reviewed by an LCA expert. This is also known as 'reviewing'. They check whether the LCA study has been carried out correctly and whether the data are complete and correct. The NMD has drawn up a review protocol for this. The review is carried out by an LCA expert recognised by the NMD. An important condition for carrying out the review is that the LCA expert has had no involvement in the LCA study. The review must be conducted by an independent, third party. This means that the review should not be done by a colleague.
