What do calculation tools do with these environmental declarations?

From an environmental declaration to the calculation tools

Validated calculation tools are online proprietary calculation software developed for calculating the environmental performance of construction works. These calculation tools combine the environmental declarations of different building materials into a building to arrive at a one-point score that takes all impact categories into account, with its own assigned weighting. This applies to the Environmental Performance of Buildings (the EPB) as well as the Environmental Cost Indicator (ECI).

Stichting NMD does not have its own calculation tool. However, calculation rules have been formulated to clarify and control how the assessment method should be converted into a digital instrument. The rules ensure that calculation tools use a uniform calculation that provides an unambiguous result for the energy performance of buildings. View the list of validated calculation tools

In addition, the environmental declarations are visible in our viewer. With the viewer, the environmental declarations in our database can be viewed. The viewer is not intended for other purposes, such as making an environmental performance calculation.
