Jan-Willem Groot speaks at Digibouw

On Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 November, the DigiBouw trade fair took place in the Beatrix Building in Utrecht. DigiBouw is the digitalisation event in the construction sector for design, construction and engineering professionals, featuring innovative solutions from exhibitors and the latest trends in digitalisation within the construction industry. The event offered a full programme with various speakers.

Jan-Willem Groot, Executive Director of Stichting NMD, spoke on Thursday in a session themed: The future of digital environmental data. This is a topic on which Stichting NMD and digiGO are actively working.

During this well-attended session, Jan-Willem provided a clear explanation of the digitalisation of environmental data in the construction sector. He showed how new European legislation and the demand for reliable data are transforming the sector. Jan-Willem also highlighted the role of Stichting NMD in relation to digiGO and the digiDeals, which respond to the need for reliable, standardised environmental data throughout the value chain.

The session offered participants a clear overview of where we currently stand, what is changing and how organisations can prepare for a data-driven, digital construction sector.
