Interim status Fill the Gaps Compensation Scheme
The first Witte Vlekken Project (Fill the Gaps) campaign started in May 2022. With the Witte Vlekken Project, Stichting NMD aims to increase the number of category 1 and 2 declarations. Looking at environmental declarations in their entirety, there are some groups for which we have fewer category 1 and 2 declarations in the database. To produce an EPB or ECI calculation that does justice to the construction work, it is important that enough environmental declarations from these groups are also present.
It is possible to aplly again for the Filling the Gaps Compensation Scheme

On December 31, 2022, the application periods for all groups will end. We will continue this project in 2023. Haven't signed up yet? Then keep an eye on this site or our newsletter!
When the MPG requirement is accelerated, designers and contractors will have to use more product-specific data to meet clients' requirements and wishes. The project runs until the end of 2023 and involves the following groups:
- Construction installations
- Biobased building materials
- Reusable building materials
- Aluminum building products
- Innovative products from Startups/Startups and SMEs
The compensation scheme consists of 2,500 euros for having an LCA made. This will make it more attractive for producers to have an LCA made and then have a category-1 environmental statement made in the NMD.
Construction work installations
A meeting during the VSK trade fair on 18 May heralded the start of the Construction work installation campaign. During this meeting, members of the steering committee and external speakers explained how the NMD and EPB system works. It can be more difficult to include construction work installations in the NMD. This point was discussed extensively and the NMD later published the environmental declaration Roadmap for construction work installations. For the second round, we highlighted this roadmap via various videos and articles. As with the first round, we supported the campaign with online articles that we distributed via our own channels but also via the steering group members. Stichting NMD continues to engage with the Installation sector to determine how to ensure that this group’s environmental declarations can be included properly in the database.

Bio-based
The Bio-based campaign was launched on 22 June with the organisation of a webinar in which we explained to a large group how the system works. Together with external speakers, we also discussed bio-based materials in more depth. In addition to this webinar, we distributed inspiring and informative articles via our newsletter and LinkedIn.
The result for the first round for bio-based is 24 registrations (the second round continues until 31 December 2022 so if you have not yet entered your bio-based product you can still do so!)
Reusable construction materials
We launched an online campaign for reusable construction materials. We distributed informative and inspiring articles via our newsletter and LinkedIn. The result for the first round for reusable construction products was three registrations.

Aluminium construction products
The result for the first round for Aluminium construction products is 15 registrations. The registration period for this sector also runs until 31 December. If you are a producer of aluminium construction products, register your product here! As with the other campaigns, we created both informative and inspiring content for this group, which we distributed via our newsletter and LinkedIn.

Reusable construction products
We had three registrations in the first round for reusable construction products. For this diverse group, we produced various online articles and distributed these via our newsletter and LinkedIn. The registration period for this sector runs until the end of 2022.

Innovative construction products
We had two registrations in the first round for innovative construction products. For this diverse group, we produced various online articles and distributed these via our newsletter and LinkedIn. The registration period for this sector runs until the end of 2022.
