Ever since my studies in architecture and industrial ecology, I have been fascinated by the concept of sustainable construction. There is currently a major construction challenge and, in my view, it is essential that we approach this in a way that the benefits are as beneficial as possible not only for the wallet, but also for the user and the planet.
Analytical models such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and the calculation tools that deploy their results provide a clear to follow structure to ensure sustainability in the construction world in the form of ECI and MPG scores. I am committed to the importance of continuing to develop this way of calculating to ensure integrity and watertightness of data.
Besides the above, I also have a number of other sustainable passions. For example, I love being creative with images (drawing & photography), I am active in the Dutch board game world and I love hiking in beautiful Scotland!
