As an engineer, I delve into complex societal and technical challenges. Innovation has always fascinated me; to me, innovation means the ability to redesign existing systems in a smart, integrated and future-oriented way. Systems thinking and integrated solutions play a crucial role here, especially in the context of the built environment. What drives me is the conviction that innovation is essential for the transition to a circular economy within planetary boundaries. By continuously developing the Database and finding new ways to use data, we move one step closer to a sustainable future.
Together with my team at the Dutch Environmental Database, we are building a circular economy.
